Dig Deep Trail Races needed an event film that captured the spirit and scale of their flagship trail run - the grit, the scenery and the atmosphere that make it a standout in the UK trail running calendar.

The course weaves through some of the Peak District's most remote and rugged locations. Many of the key spots are reachable only on foot, which meant long climbs and fast movement with minimal gear - all on one of the hottest days of the year.

A carefully planned, lightweight approach, so nothing got missed.

On-foot coverage. Key locations along the route were scouted in advance. Camera kit stayed compact and mobile, so we could climb to remote summits and narrow trails without slowing down the runners - or ourselves.

Authentic atmosphere. Runners pushing through tough terrain, sweeping Peak District views, and real moments at aid stations and the finish line - for an honest, immersive film.

Agile shooting. Timed and positioned to catch the lead runners, the mid-pack and the back of the field, so the story reflected the whole race-day experience.
